India's oldest national park is a treasure trove of biodiversity, history, and unforgettable wildlife encounters. Dive deep into the heart of the jungle.
Established in 1936 as Hailey National Park, Corbett was renamed after the legendary hunter-turned-conservationist Jim Corbett. It was the first national park in mainland India and served as the launchpad for Project Tiger in 1973, making it one of the most critical tiger reserves in the country.
Spanning over 520 sq km of core area and nearly 800 sq km of buffer zone, Corbett boasts an incredible variety of ecosystems — from dense Sal forests to grasslands and riverine belts. It's home to over 600 species of birds, 50 mammals, and 25 reptile species.
Corbett is divided into several tourist zones, each offering a unique landscape and wildlife sighting probability. From the highly sought-after Dhikala zone to the birdwatcher's paradise of Dhela, there's something for every wildlife enthusiast.
While Corbett is open from mid-October to June, the best wildlife viewing months are from November to March when the weather is pleasant and animals frequent water sources. Summers (April-June) offer the highest chance of tiger sightings as animals come out in search of water.
We offer a range of safari options to suit every travel style. Jeep safaris are perfect for small groups and provide the most flexibility. Canter safaris (large open buses) are great for budget travelers. Elephant safaris (subject to availability) offer a unique, close-to-nature experience.
From luxury forest lodges inside the park (like Dhikala Forest Lodge) to cozy riverside resorts and budget homestays, we have accommodation options to match every budget. Our packages include stays at handpicked properties known for their hospitality and proximity to safari zones.
