Your Wildlife Escape Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival, Check-in & Riverside Evening

Your wildlife escape begins as you arrive at Ramnagar Railway Station or the Ramnagar Bus Stand. Our representative will greet you and transfer you to your carefully selected riverside resort (approx. 30-40 minutes drive). Upon arrival, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink and complete a swift check-in. After settling into your comfortable room, head for a delicious lunch at the resort's multi-cuisine restaurant. Post lunch, you will attend a briefing session conducted by our senior naturalist, who will share insights about the park's zones, do's and dont's, and what wildlife to expect. In the late afternoon, take a guided walk along the Kosi river bed – a perfect introduction to the region's flora and birdlife. As dusk settles, gather around a campside bonfire for hot snacks and an interactive session on tiger conservation. Followed by a hearty dinner under the star-lit sky.

Day 2: Morning Core Safari & Evening Birding Trail

Wake up early to the calls of jungle birds. At 5:30 AM, enjoy a hot cup of tea or coffee before heading out for your morning jeep safari into one of Corbett's famous core zones (Bijrani, Jhirna, or Dhikala depending on availability and season). The safari lasts for approximately 3.5 to 4 hours – the prime time for wildlife activity. With the guidance of your experienced naturalist, you'll track animals, interpret pugmarks, and learn about the jungle ecosystem. Keep your camera ready to spot the Royal Bengal Tiger, Asiatic Elephant, Leopard, Sloth Bear, Spotted Deer, Sambar, and a myriad of bird species like the Crested Serpent Eagle, Kingfisher, and Hornbill. Return to the resort by 10:00 AM for a sumptuous breakfast. The rest of the morning and early afternoon is free for leisure – you can relax by the pool, get a massage (at extra cost), or simply nap. In the late afternoon, embark on a specialized bird watching walk led by an ornithologist, where you may spot rare birds like the Great Slaty Woodpecker or Pallas's Fish Eagle. As evening approaches, enjoy a local Kumaoni dinner prepared with traditional recipes, followed by a wildlife documentary screening in the resort's mini-theatre.

Day 3: Second Safari (Buffer Zone) & Departure

For your final day, you have the option to choose between a second thrilling jungle safari – this time in the Sitabani Buffer Zone – or a leisurely morning at the resort. The buffer zone offers a different landscape of mixed forests and open meadows, with excellent chances of spotting leopards and elephants even during off-season. The safari lasts about 3 hours and provides a more relaxed, less crowded experience. After the safari, return to the resort for a full breakfast. If you choose to skip the second safari, you can enjoy a late breakfast, followed by a nature craft workshop or a village visit to see local life. Check-out time is 11:00 AM. Our representative will then transfer you back to Ramnagar Railway Station or Bus Stand for your onward journey, carrying back unforgettable memories of your wildlife escape.

Safari Routes for Wildlife Escape

Our Wildlife Escape package includes carefully selected safari routes that offer the highest probability of wildlife sightings while providing a truly immersive forest experience. Routes are chosen based on season, weather, and recent animal movements.

Classic Bijrani Zone Safari Route (Most Popular)

Resort to Bijrani Gate

Depart early morning from your resort. Drive through scenic forest roads to the Bijrani gate – one of the oldest and most productive zones of Corbett. Distance covered: 12 km.

02
Malani Trail (Dense Sal Forest)

Enter the Malani forest trail, characterized by tall Sal trees and dense undergrowth. This area is known for leopard sightings and numerous deer species grazing.

05

Alternative Routes Depending on Season & Availability

Based on your travel dates and preferences, we may also offer:

  • Dhela Zone Route: Newly opened zone, less crowded, excellent for wildlife photography due to open landscapes.
  • Sitabani Buffer Route: Perfect for those who want a quieter safari with consistent leopard and elephant sightings.
  • Pakharo Trail (Bijrani): A lesser-known offshoot, ideal for small cat sightings like jungle cats and civets.

Essential Information for Your Wildlife Escape

Best Time to Experience Wildlife Escape

The ideal time for a Corbett Wildlife Escape is from mid-November to June. The park remains closed during monsoons (July to mid-October). For peak tiger sighting chances, the hot summer months of April to June are unmatched, as animals frequent waterholes. For pleasant weather, lush green landscapes, and excellent bird watching, the winter months of November to February are perfect. We recommend booking your escape at least 30-45 days in advance to secure preferred safari zones.
